Halloween at GRR: A Creative Twist on Engineering
Oct 30, 2025
At GRR Cooling Experts, precision engineering is part of our daily work in hospitals, laboratories, schools, and commercial buildings across New York City. Every so often, our team applies the same mindset in a more playful direction.
This Halloween, the crew built a seasonal fan array using pumpkins. It was a light moment inside a heavy season of retrofit work and a reminder of how creativity and teamwork shape our culture.

Why the Team Built It
The idea came from our field technicians who spend their days navigating tight mechanical rooms, oversized legacy fans, and complex retrofit challenges. They decided to build a seasonal “array” with the same precision mindset used in real HVAC installations.
• Every pumpkin was set in a grid layout
• The central unit was carved as the main module
• The team tested the layout just like they would during an AHU retrofit
• No airflow issues detected. Only good spirit and teamwork
These small cultural moments reflect the people behind our projects.
Engineering Culture at GRR
Even light moments show how our team thinks. Problem solving, layout planning, and hands-on creativity are at the core of what we do. Whether we are installing EC fan arrays in active hospitals or assembling a pumpkin display, the mindset is the same:
• clear planning
• precision work
• strong team collaboration
• pride in the craft
We take our technical work seriously, but we also value the human side of the job.
The people who climb into tight mechanical rooms, troubleshoot legacy systems, and deliver stable airflow across NYC are the same people who can turn a stack of pumpkins into a perfect seasonal array.
We wish everyone a safe, enjoyable fall season and a moment to rest after a busy month of projects!
